I have worked in sales for 18 years. I spent my first 10 years working in advertising as a sales executive in advertising for The Daily Post, North Wales Weekly News, Bangor/ Anglesey Mail, Denbighshire Visitor and Caernarfon Herald. When I decided to take time off to focus on my family. I now feel privileged to have joined the Dole Food Service family. I started here in June 2022, being office based as an administration assistant, then moving on to sales executive, and now on to business development account manager in November 2022.

From 2014- 2015 I helped co- run the Ti a Fi at my children’s school.Then again in 2021- 2022 I was theleader. My main reason for leaving was to look for paid employment.During my time here I was responsible for sourcing funds and support from external businesses,organising fundraising events, keeping account of incomings and outgoings whilst working to a tightbudget and reporting to the treasurer.I was also responsible for providing a safe and stimulating environment for pre schoolers and theirparents, whilst adhering to strict Covid regulations.I would provide a programme of activities each term and recruit volunteers to help the activities runsmoothly.I thoroughly enjoyed my time volunteering here and would absolutely love to turn my passion for a goodcause into a long term career.

I founded Anglesey Refugee Relief and once it had become a registered charity I passed it on to be run by the volunteers. When refugees started arriving in France with nowhere to go I felt so strongly that I needed to do something as nobody else locally seemed to be.So I started the group Refugee Relief Anglesey. During my time in this role I created a Facebook group, recruited and co ordinated volunteers, organised several collection points for donations across Anglesey and joined forces with neighbouring organisations to work with them to achieve our shared objectives. Fundraising was also an important aspect of this role. The charity although small is thriving and helping refugees in need.

My role at the Daily Post was to manage, maintain and canvass advertising clients as an office based telephone sales advisor, as well as covering the main reception area of a busy working office.While covering the reception area I would take and process private advertisements face to face and take cash and card payments.The management and maintaining of trade accounts involved regular contact with clients, ensuring all their needs were met to a high standard, and to advise them on the best way to promote their business, with their given budget across print and digital platforms.Working to set deadlines was a high priority. To ensure this was executed successfully I would prepare daily and weekly work schedules to ensure my time was used as efficiently and effectively as possible. Adhering to a strict customer confidentially act was also high priority.A high level of literacy and numeracy was required in every aspect of this role.
