The first 10 years of my working life were spent as a sales executive in advertising for The Daily Post, North Wales Weekly News, Bangor/ Anglesey Mail, Denbighshire Visitor and Caernarfon Herald. After my second child, I decided to take time off to concentrate on my family. During my career break I founded a refugee charity, organised a recruitment drive and several fundraising events, as well as building relationships with neighbouring charities and combining resources to meet common goals. As a volunteer I also ran my local baby group, which required organising stimulating weekly activities & trips for preschool aged children and their parents, whilst adhering to strict Covid rules and regulations. Fundraising and volunteer recruitment was required in this role also. In 2022 I re joined the working world at Dole Food Service (formerly Total Produce) and progressed quickly through the ranks from Administrative Assistant, to Account Manager, and finally Business Development Representative. Which lead me to my current role as “Business Development Manager” at Becws Mon Bakery.

When refugees started arriving in France with nowhere to go I felt so strongly that I needed to do something as nobody else locally seemed to be.So I started the group Refugee Relief Anglesey. During my time in this role I created a Facebook group, recruited and co ordinated volunteers, organised several collection points for donations across Anglesey and joined forces with neighbouring organisations to work with them to achieve our shared objectives. Fundraising was also an important aspect of this role. The charity although small is thriving and helping refugees in need.

To ensure this was executed successfully I would prepare daily and weekly work schedules to ensure my time was used as efficiently and effectively as possible. Adhering to a strict customer confidentially act was also high priority.A high level of literacy and numeracy was required in every aspect of this role.
