I build, test, and communicate system dynamics simulation models of extreme heat events (EHE) and heat-related illnesses (HRIs) for counties and other agencies. I conduct baseline assessment of risk along with single- and multi-objective evaluations of risk mitigation interventions and strategies over a range of conditions.

I provide change management and planning solutions to stakeholders facing complex problems characterized by many interacting objectives, constraints, and factors. The feedback loops and delays between the many causes and effects can make it difficult to see the nature of the problem and our place in it. I bring with me a suite of complexity science-informed tools to help stakeholders articulate problem statements which can help them map not only where they are today but how to get to their future desired state. This includes building the capacity for open-loop learning by feeding updates in data but also evaluative criteria through dashboarding and interfacing environments that combine virtual and real-world experimentation.
