Provide management, leadership and direction for all staff associated with the investigative units of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.Responsible for administrative and executive field decisions of all criminal cases, narcotics/vice investigations and hostage negotiation incidents.Oversee budget expenditures and financial responsibilities of Criminal Investigation and Narcotics/Vice Units.

Provide supervision and management of the Investigation Unit of the Enforcement Division.Supervise and assign all specific criminal investigation cases to department consisting of fifteen investigators.Provide guidance and assistance to investigators in planning, coordinating, and working entire caseloads for Laurens County with population in excess of 72,000. Types of cases include murder, robbery, criminal sexual conduct, burglary, narcotics, missing persons, grand larceny, etc.

Conduct investigations of criminal activities including threats against life and property.Assist in the preparation and presentation of court cases through testimony, visual aids, and procurement of evidence.Supervise and facilitate audio and video surveillance in ongoing investigations.

Supervise and patrol an assigned district providing assistance and protection to the general public.Supervise and perform investigations and preparation of reports of crimes, accidents, or other hazardous conditions.

Design, implement, and monitor prevention programs in assigned judicial circuits.Implement and evaluate intervention programs with the criminal justice system.Supervise implementation of agency programs through media information and educational programs.

Conduct group counseling and responsibility awareness sessions, designed to divert or decline juvenile delinquent behavior, as part of the implementation of the treatment.Supervise and develop monitoring duties to ensure strict compliance of Family Court Orders.
