As a BASTA Fellow and a senior Public Affairs student at Baruch College, I am committed to pursuing a career in policy analysis and research that promotes social justice and equity. I've gained valuable hands-on experience in community outreach and policy research through my internships at the New York Immigration Coalition and the Lantern Organization, where I supported various initiatives related to immigration, health care, and housing. I conducted weekly community tabling sessions in East Harlem, reaching out to over 400 low-income households, organized 50+ support letters for affordable and supportive housing projects, translated essential documents for Spanish speakers, and spearheaded research initiatives for the Coverage for All campaign. Additionally, I contributed to the improvement of the Public Affairs curriculum as an undergraduate student representative at the Marxe Curriculum Committee. My goal is to become a policy analyst who can advocate for and implement policies that address the needs and challenges of diverse and marginalized communities.
