ResponsibilitiesStephanie leads the undergraduate modules in Corporate Taxation and Personal Taxation. She also teaches three professional level tax courses, for ACCA and CIPFA students.Summary Stephanie spent twenty years in professional tax practice but has always had an interest in accounting education as well. She qualified with Coopers & Lybrand, winning the Spofforth Medal in the final Institute of Taxation exams. She has also been a tax training manager for KPMG, an assistant examiner for the old ICAEW Advanced Tax paper, and a Visiting Tutor in Taxation and Revenue Law at both Glasgow and Strathclyde Universities. In 2004 she left tax practice and joined a large private accountancy training company where she tutored accounting, tax and business law subjects. She joined Leeds Metropolitan University in 2008.Teaching In addition to taxation subjects, Stephanie is a tutor for various Financial Reporting modules, PACE 1 and 3 and Business Accounting. She also supervises Masters' dissertations.Expertise Stephanie's main area of expertise is UK Taxation and Tax Policy (including comparisons with other tax systems).
