With pride in Brooklyn's history as a manufacturing and industrial hub, as well as my passion for helping entrepreneurs and small businesses, I lead SBIDC's membership initiative developing ways to engage with current members, recruit new members, engage in fundraising activities, and support programs to help local businesses access cost savings, find talent, and navigate the changing manufacturing sector in the City. By supporting these businesses to grow and thrive, SBIDC supports an ecosystem that provides high-quality jobs that pay a living wage to underserved communities and I am incredibly proud to support the team to accomplish this important work.

As an enthusiastic supporter of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in NYC, I was thrilled to be able to facilitate connections and help create opportunities for startups at NYDesigns, a non-profit design and hardware tech incubator in Long Island City. As the Finance + Operations Manager, I led the creation and implementation of systems and solutions to improve the performance and efficiency of program operations. This work helped to support the goals of the businesses with whom we worked while also furthering our strategic priorities.

Downtown Brooklyn is in the midst of a major renaissance and, as a long time Brooklyn resident, it's amazing to see the the area transform. Working with the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, I was lucky enough to get to play a small role in that transition and work with some of the great people contributing to this change.As the Marketing + Development Manager, I managed events, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. In this role, I was a strong relationship manager working with companies, organizations, small businesses, and individuals to identify and cultivate partnerships which furthered the Partnership's strategic goals while identifying the needs of stakeholders and plugging them into the larger Downtown Brooklyn community through fundraising, sponsorship, and marketing opportunities. Also a skilled project manager, I organized community events and initiatives to provide great amenities to visitors and residents, and B2B events to help support business and grow the startup and tech ecosystem in the area.

As the Program Director at NYCfNAC, I developed and coordinated programs to support and build credit union membership and empower low income New Yorkers, including the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, the 2nd largest free tax preparation program for low income earners in NYC, which also assists filers to obtain Food Stamps and health insurance. While acting as Program Director, the VITA program served over 10,000 low income NYers each year. Additionally in this role, I successfully secured over $600,000 in program funding for three consecutive years.

As the Program Manager, I developed, launched, and managed high impact, innovative financial education and counseling program for NYC Public Housing residents focused on assisting residents to overcome psychological and financial barriers to long and short term financial goals and break the cycle of poverty.
