My duties included contacting the possible interviewees, collecting memories of those who worked there after greeting them and explaining what Middleport was going to do with their input. Such interviewees we had found had worked at the potteries from after the Second World War to present day. Each interview I conducted was captured on a video camcorder and audio dictaphone then transcribed. With only being given three months to contact, conduct and transcribe as many interviews as possible I was able to demonstrate my ability to work efficiently under a pressured time period. I also ensured that we secured interviews with the women who had connections to Middleport Pottery to ensure their voice would be recorded and remembered. The interviews are currently on display at the newly opened visitors centre. Show less
