Directed all aspects of park operations and horticulture, ensuring that the world class park remain beautiful, clean, and safe. Coordinated the hiring, management, and training of all field staff. Managed capital projects, park security, park staffing and park budgets. Managed 30 year tree succession plan. Advised programs team on horticulture related programming. Led tours and acted as a liaison with outside horticultural organizations. Designed various plant collections focusing specifically on Daffodils, Redbuds, Hydrangeas, Witch Hazels, and Fall Blooming Camellias. Ensured that strategic planning objectives were being met. Performed horticultural maintenance on a 6.2 acre public park, Worth Square, and 62 container plantings. Designed, sourced, and installed seasonal projects and new plantings. Photographed for and wrote monthly blogs and newsletters. Identified plant material in the park and produced an active plant database.
