I completed two snow seasons from June to October in both 2022 and 2023, working at the Snowline Hotel and Snake Gully Hut in Mount Hotham Resort, Australia. Between January and February 2023, I worked at Fallen Freight, a café near Melbourne, and from October 2023 to January 2024, I was employed at the Telegraph Hotel. My final role in Australia was at a beachside café, where I worked from January to May 2024. I intentionally switched jobs regularly to fully experience Australia while on a working holiday visa. Across these diverse hospitality roles, I honed my customer service skills, adapted to fast-paced environments, and efficiently managed multiple tasks.

In addition to guiding tours, I managed the rental of sandboards and sleds to tourists, including handling sales in the gift shop and ensuring that all visitors signed the necessary disclaimer forms before accessing the dunes. A key challenge was ensuring compliance with safety protocols, as some tourists attempted to bypass signing the disclaimers. Additionally, maintaining high levels of energy and enthusiasm throughout the day, especially during peak times with continuous social interaction, required effective personal management and stamina.

Conducted cleanroom monitoring, data entry, analysed data and wrote reviews which changed cleanliness standards for cleanrooms. Led quarterly presentations discussing our findings.

The summer after university, I spent three months working for a gender-based violence charity in Kenya—a profoundly impactful and meaningful experience. As part of a dedicated team, we coordinated school visits and established regular school clubs in high-risk areas to raise awareness about gender-based violence. Additionally, we provided skills training to survivors, empowering them to achieve financial independence. I also played a key role in organising large-scale events, including a fundraising race in Kenya, and coordinated media coverage to increase awareness. The role came with significant challenges, such as the emotional toll of working with survivors and adapting to the local living conditions, including hand washing clothes and showering with a bucket. However, the personal growth and fulfilment I gained far outweighed these difficulties, best experience of my life (so far).

To support myself during university, I worked as a Sales Assistant at Kiko Milano, where I gained extensive experience in customer service and retail operations. My responsibilities included providing makeup consultations, achieving sales and KPI targets, welcoming customers, restocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness of product testers. As a trusted key holder, I was also responsible for opening and closing the store and handling cash. This role required strong customer relationship management, as I needed to balance providing assistance with respecting customers' desire for privacy. Additionally, I effectively managed multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

During university breaks, I managed customer entry and sales at the gift shop of the UK’s only crocodile zoo. My responsibilities included enhancing the visitor experience by providing information and assistance, as well as encouraging donations to support crocodile conservation. I successfully navigated challenges such as high visitor volumes during school holidays with limited staffing, and adapted to working in the humid and hot conditions necessary for the well-being of the crocodiles

Created an engaging and imaginative atmosphere for children in a soft play setting. Demonstrated strong event coordination skills by managing children's birthday parties, either as a princess in the soft play area or as a laser tag guide. In the princess-themed parties, my responsibilities included interacting with the children to ensure inclusivity and enjoyment. For laser tag parties, I provided clear instructions on the game rules and supervised the activities to ensure safety and satisfaction. Additionally, I coordinated with parents to organise the schedule for birthday cake and meal times. The role required effective communication to maintain order and address challenges such as ensuring children followed instructions and managing high-energy situations.
