I am a seasoned veteran in the retail industry, product lover, excel aficionado, married to canva, mom of two boys, forever trying to find balance between work and life!I started my career at Roots in 2000, then moved over to Sporting Life, where I began an 18 year ascent. Ultimately I was responsible for the Buying & Planning of the Softgoods and Footwear divisions, as well as the Planning, Allocations, and Data Entry departments with a staff of about 45 people. In 2019 I accepted a new challenge as the Director of Retail & Merchandising with the Toronto Blue Jays, where I led the Buying, Planning, and Store Operations teams, for both the Bricks and Mortar and Ecommerce businesses. Managing the logistics of running the Merch kiosks and store during stadium concerts was a huge challenge that myself & my team crushed!Enter Pandemic (exit baseball) I did two things. (1) I started my own ecommerce business called Shop Love Collective, and (2) I joined the team at Ryerson University, ahead of their name change to Toronto Metropolitan University. After the name change I played a pivotal role in the rebranding of the University merch assortment. Following that accomplishment I joined the team at EMI Products, opting for a remote job where I could find better balance with work, entrepreneurship, and being present for my kids.In July 2024 I did a main hustle / side hustle flip flop, promoting Shop Love Collective to my full time role, while maintaining an outside sales relationship with the great people at EMI.Shop Love Collective embodies my values, taste, and is the ultimate creative outlet. I do all of the buying, planning, design & making with my own brain & hands.
