Providing education support and advocacy to the historical sites that make up the Heritage Areas in Montgomery County. Working with small museums, non profits, state and local governments and other heritage areas to promote tourism and preservation through different channels, including Heritage Days, a weekend event held once a year within the County. We also provide small and large grants to companies that work in similar areas.

I worked as a Cultural Resources Manager within the Army National Guard's Environmental Programs Division. One of my main responsibilities was to run the Tribal Consultation program and to work with the state Guards assisting their efforts to conduct government to government consultation with Federally Recognized Tribes. I reviewed and approve NHPA documents for the state Guards, along with cultural resources reviews of NEPA documents for environmental compliance. I attended tribal consultations meetings on behalf of the Army National Guard and help negotiate the Guard's mission requirements with the concerns of the Tribes.

At Pechanga, I worked with the Tribe to help preserve and protect their resources from development and destruction. I also represented the Tribe during mitigation discussions for known archaeological sites that were going to be impacted as a result of construction. I participated in the NAGPRA process alongside the Pechanga elders. I gained a important understanding of the tribal prospective of resource management, and how it differed from what was taught for non native cultural resources management.
