I graduated from South Dakota State University, majoring in Consumer Affairs with an emphasis in Family Financial Management and a minor in Business. The courses that I have taken in the Consumer Affairs major at SDSU have provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge to benefit consumers in many areas. Through these courses, I have gained skills in the areas of management, planning, organizing, problem solving, and communication. With my emphasis in Family Financial Management and minor in Business, I have developed a specialized knowledge of finance and the economy. I understand the importance of education and its role as a life-long experience. I’m prepared to make use of the skills obtained through Consumer Affairs in order to learn significantly more throughout my career. I do all I can to maintain a strong work ethic including time management, customer relations, and maintaining a positive attitude. I am highly capable of working well with people and performing financial calculations. I value that I can combine these two useful skills. The skills learned in my work history in management positions compliments my education in Consumer Affairs.
