Experienced professional in current role as Quality Engineer for Advanced Ceramic Coatings, LLC (ACC), a recent 50/50 joint venture between GE Aviation and Turbocoating. ACC is a leader in the ready-to-engine airfoil applications market, namely thermal spray barrier coatings for ceramic matrix composite (CMCs) jet engine components.• Quality systems implementation experience with strong focus on AS9100 and industry standards• Responsible for process qualifications in accordance with customer and industry requirements• In-depth knowledge of aviation coatings principles, applications, and specifications• Responsible for designing, revising, and maintaining quality procedures, quality plans, guidance documents and work instructions• Quality personnel training program creation and acceptance criteria development• Responsible to maintain and analyze quality metrics (supplier defect rate, first pass yield, on-time shipment, nonconformance management) for process improvement opportunities• Perform internal audits of quality and production systems• Develop and update PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode and Effective Analysis) for plant processes• Initiate and maintain the implementation and closure of corrective actions• Creation and implementation of New Product/Process Introduction (NPI) procedures to complete project qualifications on time and within budget• Work with customers to substantiate new production processes and equipmentSummary of Skills:• Professional experience in manufacturing environment, specific to quality control and assurance• Comprehensive knowledge of statistical process control, continual improvement processes, and data analysis• Quick learner with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills• Ability to communicate fluently; both oral and written• Attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies• Strong management characteristics with great enthusiasm and motivation to build and energize a positive team environment
