Stephanie Mace is a Associate State Director, Advocacy and Outreach at AARP Texas. Not only did Ms. Werner cover the budget, she also faced the challenge of following the Ways and Means and Local Government Ways and Means and their associated legislation. These committees, so closely associated with taxes, further required her diligent attention to detail to ensure members were well-informed on the effects of legislation passed out of the committees. Ms. Werner worked under tight deadlines on legislation that required her intense focus, intelligent and insightful analysis and evaluation skills, effective and efficient communication and long hours in cramped quarters with fellow coworkers. Ms. Werner's demonstrated dedication, intelligence, ability to communicate and work with others and willingness to take on the most difficult of tasks would make her a valuable asset to any organization.
