Through leadership academies and ongoing mentoring, young leaders are encouraged to implement broadly-based civic engagement programs, nonpartisan voter registration efforts and other projects aimed at improving the future of Nevada. As Program Coordinator, I accomplished the following:● Implemented the Inspire Nevada program to increase youth civic engagement by recruiting and mentoring 6o student leaders across 16 high schools to register peers to vote; collaborated with the Nevada Secretary of State's office to create a state-recognized award for high schools with 85% eligible voter registration● Strategized with community leaders, educators, and 60 student leaders on addressing critical policy issues resulting in a youth-led elected official panel for 18 high schools
