I started getting into engineering around sophomore year in high school and have been taking courses since trying to better my knowledge in it. I have knowledge in basic engineering from these high school classes. I learned how to do basic coding and design software for around two years in high school and though this I landed a job at the Reynolds Company which helped me create connections with other people in my field. I have also talked to the major engineering companies like Lockheed Martin, BNSF, and Bell Helicopters since they are customers of Reynolds. Since I’ve graduated high I have been taking courses at the University of North Texas to expand my knowledge in mechanical engineering. I took Intro to Engineering and Properties of engineering which taught me how to use basic software like SolidWorks and coding. In my senior year of high school I took a Robotics course that was off campus where my job was to create and code working robots to do specific tasks like drive and pick up objects, where I placed 1stwith my robot almost every time. I think my knowledge and experience in my previous example can prove that I can handle whatever is thrown my way.
