Maintain and monitor a network of equipment for the detection of potential chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapon threats for a high profile client in Washington DC.Duties include performing preventative and emergency maintenance on highly sensitive instrumentation. Troubleshoot electronics for faults and make repairs as needed. Ensure proper functionality of CBRN detection equipment in order to properly safeguard government assets. Track metrics of equipment status in order to maintain the highest levels of deployability and site functionality. Assist in developing program sustainability procedures to extend the service lifecycle of equipment.

Marine Science Technician Second Class (E5) at US Coast Guard Reserve Sector MD-National Capitol Region. Serves within the Sectors Prevention Department as a qualified USCG Facility Inspector ensuring compliance of security regulation under the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA / 33 CFR 105) and applicable environmental, health and safety regulations under 33 CFR 125. Member is tasked with developing and enforcing federal marine safety, security and environmental regulations; Reviewing facility security plans, facility response plans and operations manuals; Conducting facility inspections for security, safety and environmental protection; Inspecting containers that are used in trade involving oil and hazardous substances; Issuing certificates of adequacy to facilities meeting standards for the receipt of shipboard waste; Supervising the loading and unloading of explosive materials; and Conducting training and outreach to federal, state, local and industry personnel.

Marine Science Technician Second Class (E5) at USCG National Response Center; Served as a watch officer and interagency liaison for all federal reports regarding all oil, chemical, radiological, biological and etiological discharges into the environment, anywhere in the United States and its territories. It is the responsibility of the NRC watch officers to notify the pre-designated On-Scene Coordinator assigned to the area of the incident and to collect available information on the size and nature of the release, the facility or vessel involved, and the party(ies) responsible for the release. The NRC maintains reports of all releases and spills in a national database.

Marine Science Technician Third Class (E4) at USCG Sector St. Petersburg. Member was attached to the Sectors Response Department and tasked with enforcing regulations regarding the safety and security of the marine environment within USCG Sector St Petersburg area of responsibility. Represented the captain of the port as a federal on scene coordinator during the removal and disposal of oil and hazardous material releases into the environment. Served as site safety supervisor during federally funded remediation projects. Investigated reports of oil and hazardous material discharges into the environment within USCG jurisdiction.

Charleston, South Carolina Area

Served as a Fireman (E2-E3) onboard USCGC Dallas WHEC-716 in the auxiliary engineering department. Member was tasked with performing preventative and emergency maintenance on all mechanical equipment outside the cutters main propulsion plant, this included ships fuel systems, potable water systems, AC & refrigeration, and hydraulic systems. Member was responsible for the maintenance of the ships aviation fuel stores and the cutters aviation refuel equipment. While onboard served as a member of the ships firefighter and emergency damage control team.
