I am a highly experienced operations manager with a wide background including training, emergency planning and fire safety. Currently designing and delivering training to the maritime industry to MCA standards.Having a substantial suite of fire safety modules, I have built up a good knowledge of the fire safety enforcement arena. This allows me to perform and audit fire risk assessments to a professional standard. I recently spent a substantial period within the emergency planning department at Lancashire Fire and Rescue. This post included, service wide planning and multi agency emergency contingency planning. Also liaison with services across the country to achieve best practice. I also provided supervisory cover at larger scale incidents as a station manager to provide a greater level of organisational support to crews.I have many years experience managing people, often through challenging periods in a rapidly changing working environment. I also have over 15 years experience in the training environment having served as a full time trainer at Washington hall for over three years 1998 - 2001 returning as an associate trainer up to the present day. I also have extensive experience in the industrial field working as a consultant for companies such as Fleetwood nautical college, Safety management UK, colossal training and Blackpool and the Fylde college.I recently formalised my training skills with a PTTLS course leading to a Cert-Ed with the university of Huddersfield.
