Dr. Stephen E. Griffith is a board-certified, fellowship trained neurosurgeon, specializing in treating patients with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, as well as other movement disorders. He is a leader in the field of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery. Dr. Griffith also has had extensive experience and success treating patients with Trigeminal Neuralgia and other types of facial pain. Dr. Griffith attended medical school at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and went on to complete his neurosurgery residency at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. He performed his fellowship training at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He then went on to spend 9 years at Saint Luke's Marion Bloch Neuroscience Institute, where he developed a nationally recognized Deep Brain Stimulation program, performing DBS surgery on hundreds of patients throughout the midwest. Dr. Griffith eventually was appointed Director of Neuromodulation at Saint Luke's Marion-Bloch Neuroscience Institute. Today, Dr. Griffith practices as a Board-certified Neurosurgeon at Good Samaritan Hospital in Oregon, providing acute-care neurosurgical services to the more than 290,000 residents of Corvallis and other areas in the mid-Willamette Valley and central Oregon Coast area. He continues to specialize in services including functional neurosurgery, trauma neurosurgery, spine neurosurgery, and specialized operations for trigeminal neuralgia, deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, and other neurosurgical services.​
