I am a food and beverage director, photographer and publisher. My work has appeared almost everywhere you see images of food - from television, national magazines, cookbooks, packaging, international publications, food and photography blogs, to seven seasons of Top Chef (Bravo TV).I have built my career on a passion for showcasing food in a natural and enticing style, always pushing the envelope in pursuit of honest, authentic imagery that heightens taste appeal across all categories. Drips, pours, crumbs, bites—fresh and real, perfectly imperfect. I’ve always felt that less is more in terms of styling, more is more in terms of exploration. I love the integrated, sensory approach to food as it allows me to expand the visual story and bring food to life. My “real life” approach of capturing motion and images has garnered the attention of numerous agencies, international food companies and restaurants. I've also appeared as a guest Quickfire judge on Top Chef Masters and am a sought-after authority on food photography.I have grown my photography business into a full-service production company. Stephen Hamilton Productions combines my photography talents with those of an on-staff producer and editor as well as a roster of additional skilled photographers. Capacious studio space accommodates multiple simultaneous shoots, offering clients start-to-finish capabilities from pre-production to in-house retouching. Our production team offers these capabilities with client direction, alongside industry-leading client services, in our Chicago studio. We’re also proud to deliver seamless remote shoots to better serve our North American and international clients.
