This involves the use of various tools including Kibana ,New Relic, F5 Ui and APIs, RunScope, Rundeck, kubernetes, Tomcat, ActiveMQ and Bash Scripting whilst using Agile methodologies.

This was a position where I engaged in the startup of a new 3rd level helpdesk, setting up service-now to cater for the company’s needs, aligning SLA’s and documenting ITIL processes. This position also involved the use of various open source products including Nagios, Liferay, Activemq and Confluence. As a technical support analyst I was involved proactive monitoring of the messaging system for 6500 Pharmacy branches creating around 2 billion messages per year, assuring a 99.9% SLA, whilst working in a small team of 4 covering 24/7.

This role involved working as 2nd level Support in a 24/7 shift and ensuring the stability and maintainability of British Airway’s IT infrastructure, Services and Applications. This was in order to anticipate and avoid problems and manage incidents through to resolution, while making sure I am adhering to ITIL framework and its principles.Assess the impact of the introduction of new projects or the expansion of existing infrastructural and business application projects in BA on systems and networks.Work to improve the integrity, availability and performance of systems and services, taking part in or helping to run service reviews with the customer where appropriate. Develop excellent relationships with Technical Support teams, Application Support teams, System Management, Senior Manager and Service Providers.

Working with a small team of three, looking after the recovery and administration of British Airways Oracle Databases and providing 3rd line support for middleware products. My key duties included:• Covering a 24x7 operation on call.• Database backup and recovery all versions including RAC.• RMAN oracle recovery manager.• Assisting with oracle upgrades and installations.• Database Security.• Capacity Planning.• Speaking to various 3rd parties and stakeholders.
