Supervising other Tier II System Administrators in the southwest region (California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas) for the US Army Reserve, assigning out work tickets, ensuring metrics are met, and handling escalations.  Triaged and remediated over several thousand systems through multiple mass quarantine events due to rapidly changing security requirements for the Army Reserve enterprise.  Trained several new Tier II System Administrators that were hired on over the past couple years.  Coordinated and disseminated work and policy updates and requirements from Regional Management and USARC HQ to the Tier II team.  Led Tier II team through transition from in-office work environment to a telework stance, codifying and standardizing reporting practices for daily metrics to upper management until they were satisfied that teleworking had not negatively impacted our productivity at all and had in fact, increased.  Assisted Regional Manager for the Southwest in observing, tracking and disciplining any team members that were having a difficult time adjusting to telework. Worked closely with a new associate who seemed unable to manage his duties appropriately, first attempting to help him get his performance in line with expectations, then after sustained poor performance and associate's failure to communicate why this kept happening, recorded incidents and recommended disciplinary action to the Regional Manager, which was taken.  During multiple mass enterprise issues that generated an extreme amount of work tickets that far exceeded our team's original SLA requirements, worked as a system administrator alongside my team and helped them resolve as many tickets we could to mitigate the overflow of work.

I was responsible for around 150 seats and tech assets, ranging from workstations to mission critical equipment controllers. I personally established the controller upgrade project that I am currently carrying out on the Seal Beach laboratory controllers. I functioned as both local systems administrator support and the designated NMCI representative for the detachment.  Regularly recording updates and new procedures as I oversee and enact projects for NWS Seal Beach PE 30 Department.  Initiated and completed the NET Clean Up project for all PE departments on NSWC Corona and NWS Seal Beach, verifying and correcting over 500 records. Initiated and carrying out the Controller Upgrade Project: updating, maintaining and rebuilding laboratory controllers as necessary to ensure continued mission essential productivity and to comply with all relevant DoD policies. Currently overseeing the quarterly NMCI ordering process for the PE Department as a whole. Regularly collaborating and communicating with local branch managers to ensure the detachment has the best support and outcomes for upcoming changes and unforeseen challenges.  Swiftly became familiar with the new systems such as the lab controllers I am now supporting, and continue to increase my knowledge of new hardware and software updates.

Provided quality contractual process support to the United States Marine Corps in the form of identifying government needs to contracted third party IT providers (i.e. Hewlett Packard) and ensuring they fulfilled their projected tasks. Alongside the systems analyst and consultant role, was tasked with training and managing the Marine Corps Information Systems Coordinator (ISC) Program / Help Desk for the 1st Marine Air Wing and then the 3rd Marine Division, Marine Corp Air Station Futenma and Camp Fuji simultaneously. Developed expertise in Active Directory, Service Request e-Forms (SReF) and the government e-tool NET (NMCI E-Tools) in creating, vetting and approving requests placed by Marines for contracted technical services. Provided data analysis for various projects initiated by the government that were being worked by contractors and drafted briefings and reports for local leadership.  Managed the Information Systems Coordinator Program / Help Desk for the 1st Marine Air Wing and then the 3rd Marine Division, with an average of 50 Marines under my leadership at any given point of time during my tenure. Trained Marines as Information Systems Coordinators, enabling them to successfully provide IT support to their respective units and commands. Led ISCs through a massive technology refresh involving the upgrade or replacement of 2,100 assets for the 1st MAW. Then led ISCs through the another technology refresh for 500 assets for the 3rd Marine Division, 200 for Marine Corp Air Station Futenma and 50 assets for Camp Fuji. Co-authored the official Marine Corps NMCI/COSC Information Systems Coordinator Guidebook.
