As part of the Centralised Surveillance Team overseeing 4 casinos, my role primarily involves the security of the premises and to minimise risk and losses as well as ensuring the safety of customers. Dealing with a combination of compliance & safer gambling issues as stipulated by company policies and the Gaming & Licensing Acts. Various tasks involve supporting & liaising with Duty Managers, Customer Service Managers, Gaming Supervisors, the Security Team & Customer Welfare Officers for issues relevant to their role, using radio’s, telephones & email to communicate specific issues, concerns & resolving table disputes.In addition, as Surveillance Officers we produce various reports, such as, customer gaming profiles, loss reviews and log incidents of a general concern or of a more serious nature to customer membership profiles, which can lead to suspensions of membership & barring’s to the premises. In rare cases this has led to communication with the emergency services for support or report writing that has the potential to be used in court proceedings.
