• Develop responses to frequently asked questions (FAQ) and other guidance documents related to verification of material properties using records, integration of pipeline integrity data and novel approaches to material data analysis and analytics • This work focuses on supporting natural gas transmission operators with implementation of RIN1 – Safety of Gas Transmission Pipelines: MAOP Reconfirmation, Expansion of Assessment Requirements, and Other Related Amendments, final rule published October 1, 2019 (also known as the Gas Mega-Rule). • Engage with major natural gas transmission operators to assess their level of compliance with material verification and related requirements within PHMSA’s Gas Mega-Rule. Strategies are developed to address gaps and operationalize ongoing compliance requirements.
