Member of the Human Complex Traits Laboratory led by Professor Nicole Soranzo. Integrating genomics data with phenotype data from genome wide association studies gaining insight into how genetic variation contributes to immune response and disease.

Regulatory Systems Biology LaboratoryEmployed in the laboratory of Dr Duncan Odom where we study transcription factor binding by utilising CHIP-seq methodology. Utilising evolutionary conserved factors in various tissues and multiple species we are integrating these binding data to infer regulatory networks that influence gene expression programs.

Fission Yeast Functional Genomics Group Employed in the laboratory of Professor Jürg Bähler where we used various genomics approaches to interrogate the gene expression program and transcriptional regulation of the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Platforms included home brew spotted arrays, Agilent custom array, Affymetrix Gene-chip and most recently RNA-seq using the Illumina high through-put sequencing technology.

Employed in the Laboratory of Professor Mike Stratton where they screen human cancer cell lines and primary tumours for genetic markers that contribute to the progression of tumour genesis. Sanger sequencing to screen for DNA mutations within coding exons and Affymetrix genotyping arrays to look for copy number variations and homozygous deletions.

Worked on the Human Genome project extracting DNA and generating sequencing reactions.
