Schedule the transport and delivery of physical natural gas through various pipelinesin the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast using an internal gas scheduling system and external electronic bulletin boards, maximizing firm transport capacity, while ensuring delivery through various point and pipeline capacity restrictions. Communicate with third-party counterparties to pass contract and other pertinent information for receipt and delivery. Nominate gas deliveries to various Dominion power plants and actualize plant burns with the accounting group, ensuring plant burns match scheduled delivery volume from the pipeline. Managed a credit log of transactional counterparties with Dominion Resources and its related subsidiaries, monitoring credit risk to ensure counterparties met internal credit standards. Researched Moody’s, S&P and Bloomberg for pertinent counterparty information, including credit analysis, credit default swap ratings, and unsecured credit ratings. Completed credit reviews, monitoring company strengths, weaknesses and financial performance, and approved internal facility ratings and enterprise limits. Monitored settlement and mark to market exposure on physical and financial transactions, and set trading threshold limits on ICE (Inter Continental Exchange), to ensure counterparties adhered to approved exposure and tenor limits. Worked with internal traders in the coal, natural gas, electric, oil, and emissions segments in regards to potential transactions, and researched the natural gas, power, oil, and other related energy industry news for current events, mergers and acquisitions and commodity price changes.
