I’m a highly motivated and customer-focused professional who strives to help organizations achieve their goals by providing expertise in the areas of financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic analysis.I've held quantitative/financial type roles in departments such as Group Strategy, Group Human Resources, Project Management, and currently Group Finance. My contributions are mostly in the areas of financial modeling, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), capital budgeting, data analysis and credit risk with an emphasis on the new IFRS 9 standard. My current role is a mixture of FP&A, credit risk, financial modeling and performance tracking where I provide direct support to the CFO and other members of the senior management team. My educational background includes Actuarial Science and postgraduate studies in stochastic analysis and simulation techniques with applications in finance (MATLAB programming ). Even though my roles have not been programming intensive, my programming skills have translated to how I develop my excel models to require minimal manual input and maximum analytical insights. My experience across the various aforementioned parts of the company has provided me with the broad and unique perspective of both the inner workings and the high-level strategic view of the business spanning the staff, customers, the market, the cost and revenue drivers and the overall impact on the bottom line.
