As a Principal Consultant, modeled, deployed and supported database objects in various Postgres AWS environments. Tested and developed the migration procedures of multiple RAC environments from Oracle version 11.2.0.4 to version 19c. Installed/configured Oracle OEM 13c. GSM was purchased by PSS in October of 2015. After continuing in a direct bill role, was asked to take an indirect role in managing the GSM subsidiary. In this role, I performed the following duties:Managed the recently acquired GSM Consulting division with full P&L accountability, including the preparation of full Project Monthly Reports, including tracking to annual budget, for senior leadership.Assisted in the development of billing rates and negotiated all existing and future subcontracts with prime contractors.Worked with Staff Recruiters to identify job requisitions, review and interview potential candidates and negotiate employment agreements.Attended networking and customer events to learn about upcoming RFPs and opportunities.Worked with VP of Business Development to strategize on partnering with other key prime contractors and gaining access to new contract vehicles.Met with key executives with Prime contractors to develop partnerships on new contracts.Reviewed various formal Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOW) in order to prepare and present final RFPs to multiple Prime Contractors in support of IT and cybersecurity missions for the federal government.Regularly met with Team Leads and employees to discuss project issues, growth strategies (both on contract and staffing) and corporate culture (policy, benefits, etc.).

Founding partner with GSM Consulting, a full-service consulting agency. In addition to indirect responsibilities such as recruiting, on-boarding, process development and control, payroll management and other business operations; I was directly billable to the customer as a Senior Database Administrator and Data Architect. Worked with the President/Founder to grow the company to 69 billable employees across multiple contracts providing IT to the IC, with total revenue exceeding $15M. Also collaborated in the purchase and transition of GSM to PSS with the aid of my partners and Aronson Capital Partners.Some of my responsibilities to the IC client included the following:Installed and maintained Oracle Exadata Appliances V2, X2, X4.Utilized powershell scripting for automated ETL between various RDBMS.Implemented online backup procedures for DB2 database backups to a TSM server.Installed/configured/maintained/tuned a redundant copies of critical DB’s utilizing Oracle Dataguard.Developed/Maintained the MS SQL Server(2008, 2012, 2014) backend of several COTS product installations, which results in terabytes of information.Developed/Maintained the DB2 backend of a COTS ingestion tool for storing terabytes of dataRepeatedly established a trusted relationship with customer/prime to deliver high quality and talented engineers which expanded GSM footprint from 1 to 12+ FTE in the course of 3 years on two separate contracts.Led and participated in redesign of the data structures through requirements with use of Erwin.Created database standards and redesigned database change request system along with establishing CM system for database objects.Worked with existing interface code to ensure system of record information.Coded PL/SQL ad hoc sql/packages/procedures to customer’s requirements for design and maintenance and data transition.

Supported Intelligence Community customers as Database Engineer / Administrator / Architect.Led and participated in an overall redesign of the data structures through requirements in order to create a consolidated system of record.Worked with existing interface code to ensure system of record information.Coded PL/SQL ad hoc sql/packages/procedures to customer’s requirements for design and maintenance and data transition, some data utilizing Oracle FGA.Implemented Oracle Streams (4 node site), one way and bi-directional streaming.Maintained database backups with RMAN, implemented stand-by database.Performed upgrades on several Oracle 10g RAC systems, Installed OEM.

Worked as a DB2 DBA and Data Architect for an IRAD project for the Border Control project prototype which resulted in a customer contract for the functional solution. Within the IC customer space, installed, maintained and tuned Oracle 9i databases in a high availability environment which used Veritas Clustering Environment for fail-over redundancy. Implemented Oracle RAC for 9i and Data Guard Solution. Utilized BMC SQLBackTrack as third party application for backups of database.

As the Sr Database Administrator, implemented back end and middle tier database components for an online advertising system utilizing Sybase ASE 12.0. Responsible for Logical/Physical database design and Transact SQL stored procedures, triggers, views. Installed, configured, tuned and backed up database ranging in sized up to 100 GB. Implemented HA solution with Sun Clustering 2.2 and Sybase HA.

Worked with DoD customer for custom software improvement of current manual process. Streamlined their DB maintenance and conversation process. Implemented a Database Change Request Process process. Deployed new replicated database between 12 sites.

Quality Assurance Lead who was promoted into a Database Administration role. Was responsible for the RES suite data structures utilizing the Sybase Anywhere Platform. Generated DML/DDL conversion scripts for all new releases based against previous versions. Significantly streamlined DB creation and deployment process through the use of ERwin CASE tools and Perl scripts. Created local Intranet which provided a central retrieval point of documents for all involved in Research and Development along with mentoring peers to use SQL effectively in their jobs.
