Information Technology Support Specialist
CurrentMy role consists of troubleshooting almost all areas of IT for various clients, each of which with their own unique environments and sets of challenges. Some examples of this include:- Network troubleshooting, monitoring, and deployment (Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, Palo Alto, Netgear, pfSense).- Workstation support such as printer installation/repair, OS deployment, business application installation/troubleshooting, or virus prevention/removal.- Server OS Administration: Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) & Windows Server (2008 R2 thru 2019).- Virtualization using VMWare vSphere/vCenter: monitoring/administration, physical to virtual conversions, vCenter HA & DRS, vCenter configuration.- Sizing & deployment of new server or network hardware.- Active Directory administration: user management, DC deployment/upgrades, Azure AD Sync, DNS, Group Policy Management, etc.- Office 365/Azure AD on-boarding & management.- Eclipse ERP (Epicor) Linux troubleshooting.- File recovery from failed systems.- Backup infrastructure installation, testing, and troubleshooting (Veeam, InfraScale, Windows Backup).- Ticket & time tracking using Kaseya BMS.- Documentation of critical client information and creation of SOP/KB Articles with solutions to common problems. - Implementation of internal systems to improve technician efficiency and reduce resolution times.
