- Served as Military Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs).- Leads all Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) for ASA (M&RA), the Army's senior Department for civilian and military manpower policy for the 1 million strong Reserve Component of the Army. - Coordinates with representatives of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, The Joint Staff, Homeland Security and other outside agencies on all matters that pertain to COOP planning. - Provides analysis, coordinates actions and prepares recommendations on all COOP related actions to include a semiannual exercise which evacuates specified personnel to their designated emergency relocation facilities. - Additional responsibilities include the maintenance and management of ASA (M&RA)’s Army Disaster Personnel Accountability and Assessment System (ADPAAS) which will collect and maintain accountability for all Army personnel, family members and contracted civilians during major weather events or a declared national emergency.
