I’m a motion designer and animation director with nine years’ experience delivering content across multiple channels from initial concept to final delivery. I’ve honed my skills in scriptwriting, storyboarding, style development, design, animation, editing, and compositing to become a reliable all-rounder, helping my clients reduce their workload with minimal onboarding. I like to take a collaborative approach to projects, listening to the client’s needs and responding with creative solutions.I’ve worked on a variety of projects across many channels, including explainer videos, social media, TV adverts, streaming series, short films, interactive content, and immersive fulldome experiences. Select clients include Google, Netflix, Amazon, Deloitte, and OVO Energy.

I led the animation department at Sandbox Films in Toronto through lockdown, when animated content was in particularly high demand. I built my own team and directed juniors and freelancers on multiple projects at the same time as working directly on the studio’s high-profile output. Our client base was primarily charities and NGOs, which meant working on a lot of emotive narrative-driven illustrative pieces.

Tasked with conceptualising, designing, and animating stings for awards events and conferences, this role involved very tight turnarounds. As such, I learnt well to budget my time and work quickly, while still creating content with a high-end feel.Clients include Nationwide Building Society, Müller, and Honda.

Providing daily support to the company's in-house design team for The Walt Disney Company, working on their global broadcast channels. Design work included campaign logo design, animated menus, and animated on-screen bugs.

Working alongside the design team, my main responsibilities were to ensure an accurate, presentable, and timely play out of broadcast graphics for live TV productions, and to prepare and deliver content such as on-screen graphics for edits. An ability to remain calm and productive under tight deadlines and high pressure was essential to this role, as was a strong teamwork ethic.My design work includes the creation of branded big screen and broadcast on-screen graphic packages as proposals for clients such as the Rugby Football Union, the International Tennis Federation, and AIBA Pro Boxing.

This role required the creation, checking, and play-out of graphics for live broadcast. This role quickly familiarised me with a studio environment and the technical standards of broadcast, and prepared me to keep focused when faced with tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Due to the large number of items presented throughout each day, this role required consistent attention to detail and a clear, organised approach to graphic preparation.

My first role in television, this job gave me a great insight into the whole post-production process, including regular shadowing of the large design, motion graphics, and visual effects department.
