Brazil

During this role as Subsea engineer, I effectively work on the Siem Helix 1, bringing the vessel from a bare hull to a fully operational well intervention vessel in Brazil. I hook up and test all subsea and surface well operational equipment. I perform maintenance and charting of the 10K high pressure pump as well as interface between Helix owner and client/vendor equipment. I interpret the signals the well gives regarding gas and fluids with high pressure and operate the MPT (Multi-purpose tower) and all drilling related equipment. I collaborate with the drill crew during all operations of deployment and recover on the subsea package and during well intervention operations, such as rigging up Wireline, Slick line, and Coil tubing BOP’s.

Fraserburgh

During this 6 month tenure, I supervised and planned rotas for three members’ team, continuing to obtain experience in working with a professional security staff in a leadership capacity. I managed security and administrative operations, such as opening the collage in the morning, executing security checks and janitorial duties before and after students’ entrance in the collage. I monitored locking up activities and setup the alarms in the evening with a focus on continuous improvement in personnel protection and safety management.

United Kingdom

In these three years, I inspected offshore subsea trees on a daily basis and easily identified problems occurring during well intervention operations periods. I established equipment maintenance and routine service programmes throughout the operating environment. I conducted pressure testing as well as deployed and recovered subsea tree caps and trees with precision and accuracy to determine the overall health of the well. I directed other team members of two technicians to successfully and frequently schedule work on surface and subsea equipment using overhead crane and forklift. I managed onshore and offshore project work and deliverables, regulatory affairs, and well information to ensure safety and boost productivity.

Worked operator for five years in Schlumberger Wireline, I collaboratively led an engineering process in the completion of well projects by utilising rigging up pressure equipment and general maintenance of the tools. I steered onshore operations in the base such as servicing equipment, operating high-pressure washers and overhead cranes, and commissioning tools for offshore projects. I supplied technical advice to support overall objectives of each client and maintain well control during the operation. I served as a crew chief with a junior operator to assist the engineers in the timely completion of well projects.

I was in the army as a mechanic in the REME looking after a fleet of 16 Challener 2 tanks.
