During annual inspection campaign for Serica my position was to acts as ‘eyes and ears’ for the client with regard to offshore operations ensuring that work procedures and management of change are followed. Ensure that health and safety issues were kept foremost. Monitor competence issues with team performing work at site. Monitor the safety and efficiency of operations and report on the work done, lessons learned and any useful pointers and recommended improvements for future operations.

Overseeing the annual subsea asset inspections in the UK sector for NAM utilising numerous ROV’s. This involved advising the Bluestream inspection personnel on any queries, assessing anomalies and QAQC all reports submitted.

This was to oversee an Offshore ROV Inspection programme on Triton FPSO. The inspection involved the inspection of the Triton Hull Moorings, Risers and associated hardware and subsea assets within the 500m exclusion zone.

Brent decommissioning recovering all debris, grout bags, mattresses, Umbilical’s and flowlines.

Decommissioning workscope on 13 wellheads to cut and recover Flow bases and Wellheads 3.5m below seabed level using a Grit entrained HP waterjet, Baker Hughes ‘Terminator’ and explosives

Overseeing the mobilisation of the DCN dive spread and following workscope of the well abandonment and decommissioning of the K12-S2 Well.

Monitoring all works, both Inspection, Construction and decommissioning of a number of subsea assets in preparation of full removal of structures.

This was the creation of the COABIS workpacks for the up and coming Onegas annual inspection campaign. Also working on the Go Electra coving all inspection tasks during a dive campaign for Petrogas

Evelyne & Gannet E Expansion project. Multiple tie-ins and control configurations to link up the new Evelyn well with the existing subsea infrastructure.

2022 Facilities inspection with James Fisher Offshore as the contractors. Surveying multiple subsea assets in the NNS and CNS

Once the Curlew FPSO had been removed this was to recover all associated components and structures associated with the subsea infrastructure at 5 locations. This entailed cutting and recovering all TSCJ’s, Flexible lines, spools and Manifolds.

Decommissioning workscope on 13 wellheads to cut the tubing 3.5m below seabed level and recover the tubing and flow bases to deck.

This was to assist the Wells Representative and oversee the day to day operations to installEnvironmental Plugs in three abandoned wells by installing 300ft cement plugs in the main bore andadjacent ‘B’ & ‘C’ Annulus's.

This was a short ‘fly-by’ workscope to complete a leak survey of the 8” WI line from the Chestnutwellhead back to the upper flange connection of the Riser at the Hummingbird FPSO. Once the leak wasconfirmed and assessed the vessel reverted back to the Dana workscope.

This was to oversee an Offshore ROV Inspection programme at Western Isles and Triton areas. Theinspection involved the inspection of the Moorings, Risers (and associated hardware) and all thepipelines and assets associated with the fields.

Fly-by request to conduct a wellhead and Riser survey.

Carried out a last minute ‘fly-by’ survey of the TAQA UMC for a potential Oil leak due to a sheen of oilseen previously on the surface.

This was to work with DeepOcean to conduct a pre-lay route survey for the Evelyne flowline into theNinian Central Platform

Deployment/wet-store of spools and mattresses at Arran North and Columbus Drill centres inpreparation for the DSV Seven Falcon to tie-in at a later date.

Removal of a UXO from within the Puffin 500m zone as well as a quick fly-by workscope to remove/cut adamaged seawater intake hose. Open the Shearwater SSIV to enable them to commence production.

Installation of new infield umbilical and re-routing of Gas Lift system within the Scapa template.Workscope consisted of multiple barriers valve ops and commissioning.

Assisting with the Leak investigation and possible SCM change out on Wood Well and Scale Squeeze workscope on the Shaw SP2 Well

This was to oversee an Offshore ROV Inspection programme at Western Isles and Triton areas. The inspection involved the inspection of the Moorings, Risers (and associated hardware) and all the pipelines and assets associated with the fields.

Removal and installation of two 8” risers at the Bleo Holm FPSO. Quite a complex workscope involving multiple spreads (air diving, Sat diving, ROV and FPSO based teams) and SIMOPS (Supply boats and Anchor Handling Tug) all within the FPSO swing circle and anchor pattern.

Coordinating and reporting on the annual subsea asset inspections for Neptune Energy and NAM utilising numerous ROV’s. This involved numerous Rigs in the Dutch and UK southern sectors.

Assisting the Rope access team writing up the reports of their finding during the annual UT inspection of the L10A platforms and associated satellites

Overseeing the 2020 IRM inspection campaign to inspect node weld on the Auk, Clyde and Montrose Platforms. Also assist with the Well TVIT (Tree Valve Integrity Testing) on the Petronella, Beauly, Ross and Auk North wells

Monitoring and documenting travel of a cleaning Pig from Gannet to Teeside utilising a Non-Intrusive signaller

Over seeing a number of workscopes at the Arkwright, wood, Arbroath & Galley assets consisting mainly of IRM work and Low IR investigation work utilising the C-Kore units.

This was onboard the Fulmar Platform overseeing the ROV subsea facilities inspection programme. This included FMD, cleaning, GVI & DVI’s of the structure and associated components.

The work was varied in its operation which consisted of barrier testing, pipeline flushing and de-oiling, numerous spool installations, flexible lays and finally well head commissioning,

This job was to mobilise the vessel and to then survey the lay routes for 10” and 4” flexibles as well as a control umbilical from Gryphon and Maclure to the P40 Well South of the FPSO. Once surveyed then to lay the flowlines and umbilical from the vessel.

This was the completion and commissioning of the Brent Bypass project covering a number of tasks. Tying in spool pieces, pressure testing, utilising STATS Tecno Plugs and pigging the line before final commissioning of the Brent Bypass to the FLAGS pipeline.

There is a varied scope of work during this campaign covering a number of subsea assets. The work consists of well intervention which included TVIT, utilising resin to suspend a well which has been untried in the North Sea, routine maintenance and fault finding. My position was to oversee the diving operations and general running of the projects to ensure that the tasks were completed to the clients requirements and that all work were completed according to Client and HSE policies.

Working with a small FPSO based team to inspect all subsea components within reach of the FPSO base ROV from the Riser bases and Moorings touch down points back to and including the FPSO Hull.

Working on a number of projects for NAM, Petrogas, Total, TAQA, Oranje-Nassau Energie & Wintershall.This was the annual IRM scopes of the clients Dutch sector assets and damage survey of one platform due to a vessel collision. This was both Diver & ROV inspections utilising standard inspection, ACFM, FMD & FIGS.

This was to oversee an Offshore ROV Inspection programme on the Anasuria FPSO in the North Sea. The inspection involved the inspection of the Moorings, Hull, Risers (and associated hardware) and all the pipelines and assets associated with the Anasuria Clusters

My position covered a varied scope of work from the attendance of HIRA’s onshore reviewing/amending procedures to following the work through to completion. To ensure that the tasks were completed to the clients requirements. Also to oversee all construction and inspection tasks undertaken and to review all results of the work conducted on the Brent Alpha platform

Online inspection for Total. Working on their Southern Northsea Dutch assets. This involved inspecting their assets and highlighting any anomalies that were present.

Responsible for the compliance with standards during the NAM/ONEgas 2017 IRM procedures and advise Bluestream inspection team with procedural reporting requirements and the quality of data required. Support the Company Rep, advise contractors OM and vessel supervisory personnel with regard to planning and scheduling.Maintain a continuous record of the current status of each work scope and manage/oversee the COABIS data collection, and COABIS operating system, including videos, photographs, FMD & FIGS results, etc.Manage the production of the interim/final reports including delivery onshore. Review all anomalies and forward C1 anomalies/information directly to designated onshore point of contact. Attend all meetings in regards to work and safety. i.e., TRA’s and planning

The position covers a varied scope of work from the attendance of HIRA’s onshore reviewing/amending procedures to following the work through to completion. To ensure that the tasks are completed to the clients requirements. Also to oversee all construction and inspection tasks undertaken and to review all results i.e. MPI, ACFM etc. Manage all HS&E risks & Promote HS&E behavioural leadership and actively support contractor HS&E initiatives.Monitor contractual compliance. Monitor the operation of Diving Support Vessels, Diving and/or ROV crew/equipment and ensure that work is scheduled and executed in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Permit to Work system to obtain the necessary permits and clearances to commence work at each location. Review and accept/reject operational procedures. During execution of work ensure that the appropriate specifications, Operational Procedures, Risk Assessments and change-control procedures are complied to. Ensure diligence around management of change, especially when schedules / resources are amended for responsive requirements. Administer the client’s incident investigation and reporting procedures and ensure appropriate notification is made for all safety incidents and / or near misses. Ensuring that the vessel crew have the necessary information to comply with the clients infield operational procedures. Ensuring that the interests of the client are satisfied during the day to day operations of the Diving and/or ROV works, executed from the vessel, rig or platform. Confirming with contractor's representative that all resources offshore are available for the work and operational. Attend daily operational meetings with contractor representative to discuss works completed and scheduled for the period. Ensure that the contractor complies with the contract requirements for reporting and production of inspection reports. Review and sign all Interim and Final reports and ensure that they are submitted in a timely manner

This involved assisting the project manager in all aspects of the project which was to set-up and run an Offshore ROV Inspection programme on the Anasuria FPSO in the North Sea. The inspection involved the inspection of the Moorings, Hull and Risers. Leading up to the offshore work I was involved in the following tasks:• Meeting with logistics and ship brokers to acquire a vessel.• Writing and producing a procedure to work to.• Assisting with the tender.• Ensuring safety requirements are in place.• Arranging for the required equipment• Attending the HIRA to go over all safety aspects of the job• Taking the vessel out and overseeing the job from start to finish.The project included the introduction of interfacing a new database with existing task and media orientated software which involved a few teething problems which had to be corrected offshore.

Currently in my role as a QA/QC I monitor compliance with working procedures during IRM and construction works both with Divers and ROV’s which is detailed in the client specific Procedure Manual. I also advise all parties with procedural reporting requirements i.e. MOC (Management of Change) and the quality of data required.I support the Client Rep, contractors Offshore Manager and vessel supervisory personnel with regard to detailed work planning and scheduling and maintain a continuous record of the current status of each workscope, to plan and maximise the efficiency of the vessels recourses.I audit and review any IRM and construction equipment onboard, including the COABIS database system on mobilisations and during offshore work. As well as ensuring all the Inspection personnel are suitably experienced and qualified to carry out the tasks required.One of the main roles during an inspection programme is to manage and oversee the COABIS data collection/operating system, including videos, photographs, etc, etc and to liaise as required with all departments on the vessel (particularly on DSV’s), gathering all relevant information as work progresses for input into the final report to ensure a full and accurate account can of the job can be written.
