Veridian Realty Capital is an acquisitions company with $250 million in capital for the purchase of for-sale and income-producing real estate, mortgages and notes. Typical investments will be $5 to $25 million for single assets, or greater than $20 million for portfolios. The company focuses on the Midwest, but will follow our customers anywhere in the US. Veridian is an all-cash buyer.

Originally hired at WaMu in Chicago as a Senior Loan Consultant in the Commercial Term Lending group, developed and managed a network of contacts with owners of apartment properties in the Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin markets.Originated approximately 190 loans totaling over $250 million in apartment loans.Opened up lending activities in the Milwaukee and Madison markets in 2004 which generated key relationships and substantial new business and in both markets.

Served as a member of the NHS-Redevelopment Corporation Board of Directors between 1991 and 2008, and as NHS-RC Board President between 1998 and 2008. Also served on the Central Board of NHS of Chicago between 2000 and 2006.

Developed extensive business contacts with brokers and investors, primarily in the Northeast and Midwest, and consistently generated new loans in major markets around the U.S. Originated $250 million in loans, almost half of the total production during the company’s five years of operations, by developing relationships with an extensive network of broker and investor business contacts in key markets. Exceeded production goals by as much as 75% in each full year of business operations.

Working with Senior Mortgage Brokers, placed commercial real estate loans on all property types with conduits, life insurance companies, banks, credit companies and pension funds, totaling $400 to $700 million annually.Pursued and landed a correspondent relationship with the Sun-America Life Insurance Company, generating significant new mortgage placement opportunities for the company.Originally hired as a consultant to analyze real estate investment opportunities for the Realty Advisors unit on behalf of the Building Investment Trust (BIT), the AFL-CIO pension fund.

Hired originally by Continental Bank at their Chicago headquarters, provided appraisal review and valuation analyses for new and existing loans in the portfolio, including large commercial properties (nationwide); and land holdings under development as Master Planned Communities, primarily in California and Florida. Participated in Loan Committee Meetings.Developed curriculum for, and taught, Capitalization and Real Estate Finance Theory workshops to junior loan officers.

Analyzed performance of real estate assets in Comingled Investment Funds; these assets consisted of office buildings and retail shopping centers in major US markets.

Working in the Boston office, conducted feasibility studies and appraisals for owners of commercial real estate throughout the Northeastern United States.

Working in the Seattle office, appraised commercial properties throughout the greater Seattle area and Washington State.

Worked as a research associate on affordable housing for the Program Related Investments division of the Ford Foundation at their New York headquarters while completing my Master's Degree in Urban Planning at Columbia University.
