I was a Forman then a Field Supervisor for various construction companies in the Houston area. My duties were to coordinate with the other sub-contractors to plan and schedule to ensure a timely and cost-effective build. I was responsible for leading my team by directing, teaching techniques to complete tasks, and assessing their work to make ready for inspection. I was also responsible for turning time sheets, daily progress reports, daily safety meetings and motivating my workers by example.I also was a Landscape foreman responsible for a six-man crew. I would drive the crew around Houston to multiple properties conducting various landscape responsibilities. My duties were to expedite the property management requests, complete timecards, conduct safety meetings, maintain, and repair equipment, and lead my crew by example. For 11 years, I was the Cubmaster for Cub scout pack #1235. First through fifth grade students and their parents were the make-up of the pack. I was responsible for the program delivery, scheduling for the year, continued education with roundtable meetings, planning campouts and events, convey information with verbal instruction, modeling instruction, handouts, emails, newsletters etc. I would also meet with Chief Parmer, the Fire Chief of Westlake Volunteer Fire Department which was the pack’s charter organization, to schedule the firetrucks and ambulance to appear at our events.
