• I began at Koch as a Windows Analyst/Systems Administrator. I was on a team of 8 that managed about 600 servers worldwide. By 2010 I was considered a Senior Windows Analyst with more operational leadership and SME responsibilities. By 2011, the team had grown to about 15 members and the number of managed servers grew to over 4,000. The responsibilities included: o Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 administration, build, deploy and manage with MOM 2005 and later SCOM 2007 o VMware ESX Cluster administration – installations, upgrades, expansions, and capacity planning to ensure clusters performed within specifications. o EMC fiber and EqualLogic iSCSI SAN administration for 3 years before responsibility was moved to a dedicated storage team. o Active Directory administration for 3 years before responsibility was moved to a dedicated Collaboration team. o TSM Enterprise Backup administration for 3 years before responsibility was moved to a dedicated backup team. o Datacenter operations involving racking servers, running cables, managing fiber switches for SAN environment for 3 years until this responsibility was moved to a dedicated Datacenter Operations team. o Participated in 24x7 on-call rotation o Performed many Root Cause Analyses when major issues came up to find ways to avoid the issue in the future. o Ensured that all servers were running Antivirus and were current on Antivirus patterns o Ensured that servers were patched quarterly and that any zero-day vulnerabilities were identified and patched out of band ASAP.
