I have the honor of connecting churches, schools and other groups of people with our ministry. We provide care for today and hope for tomorrow for orphans and vulnerable children in Haiti, Nigeria, India, Mazatlan, Cancun and Monterrey. We care about the spiritual, physical, educational, emotional and social needs of each child. In my 23 years at CHCA, I started as a 4th grade teacher and then was the first Athletic Director and worked through CHCA joining the Ohio High School Athletic Association. I have also taught health, physical education, Bible, Ohio History, World Geography and World History. Most of my time was in the 7th Grade. For two decades I ran socials for grades 5-8. We often had 250-300 students involved and between 50-75 parents helping. We did 10 events per year and the theme was: "Christians can have fun"(I Corinthians 10:31) I also started the Soccer Program at the school and as Athletic Director developed the theme: Win Twice which is still used by the school today. It means that we want our teams to win on the scoreboard but more importantly we want to win a second time by our attitudes and actions honoring Christ. (Matthew 5:16) I had the honor of leading dozens of mission trips with hundreds of CHCA students through Back2Back Ministries to Monterrey, Mexico. (James 1:27) I did 3 J-term trips with HS students to Hyderabad, India. Over the years, my students and athletes helped me develop probably the world's largest collection of Diet Coke cans, bottles and memorabilia. What makes it even more unique is the international variety that represents all 7 continents. It was a joy to challenge my students in a Christ-centered environment. I hope my students learned the subject matter from me, but more importantly I hope they developed a relationship with Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Secondly I hope they learned study skills and discipline that will help them in any academic pursuits they follow, but also skills for life. (Philippians 4:13)

This was my first job out of Ohio State and I loved it. I ran the Just Say No Club at the Elementary School to help students avoid issues with drugs and alcohol. I also had a High School Bible Study with students from St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School. I was the Varsity Soccer Coach for 3 years and in that time we had an All-State player and were Runners-up in the Miami Valley Conference (MVC) I also coached Varsity Wrestling for 2 years. I could have stayed at St. Bernard my entire career and only left because I felt the Lord calling me to help with the foundation of a Christian School that was just starting and that I believed in. That led me to CHCA. (Isaiah 40:31)
