Process Engineer for the recent addition of the Laminated Sidelite Glass production line. This addition represents a strong business strategy in utilizing the latest technology to stay competitive in the Tier One automotive market.Responsibilities included: Develop the process for Carlex's state-of-the-art glass processing proprietary technology into a high yield money making powerhouse. The Carlex team are all familiar with our processes and we must be vague in description due the sensitivity of the technology. Develop furnace parameters of various glass thicknesses and shapes for processing; develop, perform and cross train PM of propriety machinery; Level II verification of new furnace installation; execute feasibility studies of new prototype parts; generate standard work instructions throughout process; cross train operators hands-on of new processes; establish material cut programs for internal customers for cycle time reduction; develop second furnace parameters for laminated parts; root cause analysis of product defects; 5S; and Kaizen events during production lunch. Spent three years with this company and was proud to do so. Carlex was a great employer and the crew I regularly worked with was synergetic. The new line was launched successfully achieving the target OEE, thus upon resignation I felt confident the process was sustainable. Time lived in the Smokey Mountains was great and returned home to Ohio.

Performed trials derived from feasibility studies for mass production evaluation. Aided in the launch of a new company branch of producing polypropylene filter cartridges. The company president carried an excellent diversified market strategy and was a pleasure to work for.
