I have spent nearly 35 years developing CNS/ATM (Communications Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management) technology for the international and US markets. As Chief Technologist at NATS I was responsible for developing the company's technology strategy, as well as providing technical oversight for NATS involvement in SESAR. At Raytheon, I was the Principal Architect of Raytheon's ATM systems product line, I also helped develop the original NextGen Enterprise Architecture for the JPDO. I recently researched advanced NextGen ATM concepts with NASA, for which the team received a NASA Group Achievement Award. I currently provide senior engineering support to a number of large programs at Raytheon. I am interested in helping organisations solve the real-world challenges in transitioning from the current CNS/ATM environment to embrace the advanced concepts of SESAR and NextGen. In particular, I focus on identification and delivery of real, tangible, strategic benefits.I have also published a number of articles on aviation and air traffic management, in particular, a series of articles for the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) analyzing the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight 370 in March 2014.
