Concurrently fulfilled the role of a Credit Manager, Accounts Receivable Clerk, and General Cashier, a role normally fulfilled by more than two people. Maintained a clean AR Aging Report and made recommendations for credit privledges to the Director of Finance, which were followed without exception. Conducted monthly credit meeting for executive committee and department managers. In addition to my role in Accounts Receivable, I also took on the role of General Cashier, maintaining a cash fund of $50,000.00, audited cash floats of $200 to $3,000 for 30 cashiers and managers, and prepared the daily bank deposits.

Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of over fifteen million dollars in annual expenses including invoices, expense reports, and check requests. Also, posted journal entries at month end to accrue items received. As a member of the pre-opening team, set up and organized the Accounts Payable position.

As owner and operator of a high-end limousine service, I managed all aspects of the business, including servicing many high profile clients and contracting business with industry partners.

Beginning as a member of the opening team for this five-star property, I remained for over 18 years until I left on very good terms to start my own business. During that time, I worked in various positions in the Accounting Department, including Auditor, Accounts Payable, and General Cashier. Starting as an auditor I was responsible for balancing the sales to the settlements for all daily transactions, processing credit card payments, and preparing a daily business report for the entire management team. As General Cashier, I maintained a cash fund of $60,000.00; issued and audited cash floats to cashiers and department managers; and prepared the daily bank deposit, while assisting with Accounts Payable. In the Accounts Payable position I was responsible for the timely and accurate payment of over twenty million dollars in annual expenses, including invoices, expense reports, and check requests. Also posted journal entries at month end to accrue items received. I also took on the extra responsibility of responding to and following up with credit card disputes. Four Seasons was an excellent learning ground, in which I learned very effective accounting principles which I have been able to implement in other organizations to this day.
