  STEVE CLARKSON is considered the nation’s preeminent coach of quarterbacks, having had great success as a private coach and tutor for some of the finest quarterbacks at the professional, college and high school levels. Clarkson’s tremendous track record at tutoring QB’s has not gone unnoticed as his work has been featured in an array of mainstream sports media outlets and publications. Additionally, Clarkson’s professional exploits with his Steve Clarkson Dream Maker quarterback tutelage have caught the attention of significant non-sports media such as The New Yorker.Clarkson’s many quarterback clients have included Ben Roethlisberger, Terrell Pryor, Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley, Josh Freeman, Matt Cassel, Tim Tebow, Jimmy Clausen and many others. Clarkson has worked with Heisman Trophy winners, college All-Americas and high school phenoms. He was also personally asked by legendary NFL quarterback Joe Montana to work with Montana’s son, Nate. The 17-year-old David Sills is one of Clarkson’s protégés who made national news when he verbally committed to USC at the age of 13. Tate Martell also verbally committed to Washington at age 14. Clarkson also works with top talent at the collegiate level, tutoring UCLA star quarterback Brett Hundley, USC quarterback Max Wittek amongst many others.In 1978, Clarkson was the Los Angeles H.S. Player of the Year after leading the state of California in passing yards and total offense. Collegiately, he was a three-year starter at quarterback for Head Coach Jack Elway at San Jose State. Clarkson was a two-time Academic All-America for the Spartans, and he still holds several career passing records at SJSU.At a time when African-American quarterbacks in the NFL were extremely rare, Clarkson went undrafted but he did ultimately sign a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos. In 1986, Steve founded Steve Clarkson Dream Maker, initially offering QB tutoring to youth, high school, college and professional players.
