Projects included 1) managing and underwriting of a $33 billion portfolio of CRE loans held in receivership by the FDIC for a large, failed NYC bank, 2) an OCC mandated SCRA compliance review at a large Florida based bank, and 3) an OCC mandated flood insurance compliance review project at a major multi-national financial institution.

● Worked for the Debt Products Organization within Regions Bank, performing independent, objective, credit analysis of proposed commercial real estate loans. Served as the "first line of defense" in analyzing and sizing commercial real estate loans brought in by line lenders. For those loans that advanced past the initial screening, prepared comprehensive, independent, objective loan approval packages for senior credit officer approval consideration. ● Reviewed borrower submitted materials, performed independent due diligence on each asset, analyzed market trends, sized prospective loans in accordance with bank policy, sought internal consensus to issue term sheets, prepared term sheets, assigned risk ratings, resolved closing issues, and coordinated with borrowers and attorneys to close approved loans. ● Assisted with loan renewal approval packages and on-going loan servicing related issues as necessary. ● Responsible for underwriting and closing of nearly $100 million in commercial real estate loans, while screening out a multiple of that figure.

● Worked independently as a subcontractor to accounting firms and advisory firms offering CRE finance expertise to regulatory agencies (FDIC/OCC), private investors, and CMBS market participants. Projects typically included: asset summary reviews, underwriting, valuations, due diligence, risk rating analysis, investigation for wrong doing, or loss share analysis. Most involved the review of CRE assets within a failed bank portfolio or the underwriting of assets in a pending “B Piece” CMBS acquisition. ● Primary contractor relationships have included: RSM McGladrey, Corvus, TCBA, Situs, Mergis, HilltopAdvisors, and Summer Street Advisors.

● Responsible for minimizing losses involving the resolution and disposition of a $100+ million portfolio of distressed commercial real estate debt held by a regional bank. ● Evaluated portfolio assets, assessed borrower/guarantor circumstances, considered alternative legal remedies available to achieve maximum recovery, and made charge off recommendations to management.

● Originated, underwrote, assigned risk ratings, and closed multifamily and commercial real estate mortgages on behalf of Republic Bank of Chicago. ● Leading producer of commercial mortgage loans for the bank until the bank exited the new loan market in 2009. Closing volume of nearly $100 million, with fee income exceeding $1 million during tenure.

● Originated, underwrote, assigned risk ratings and closed multifamily and commercial real estate mortgages on behalf of Fifth Third Bank. ● Ranked #2 in terms of financial performance and #1 in terms of loan growth at year end 2003, out of a staff of 90 commercial relationship managers in Chicago.● Produced 48% of the net revenue increase in the 10 producer Metro Group in 2004. ● In a two and a half year commitment to Fifth Third, produced new commercial real estate loan commitments of $105,450,000, approximately $823,000 in fees, and total new net revenue in excess of $2 million.

● Originated commercial mortgages on behalf of the Bank One/GMACCM alliance, a joint venture between Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase) and GMAC Commercial Mortgage. ● Solicited commercial real estate lending opportunities from Bank One borrowers for placement with GMACCM proprietary and third party sources of intermediate and long term CRE financing. ● In a three year tenure, successfully originated $236 million in commercial real estate and student multifamily housing term loan mortgages, generating $2.7 million in fees for the Bank One/GMACCM alliance. ● Awarded GMACCM’s “Rookie of the Year” award in 2000.

● Independently contracted with national commercial mortgage conduits and “B” piece buyers to underwrite multifamily and commercial real estate loan and asset acquisition opportunities. ● Clients included Nationsbank, GMACCM, JE Roberts, Lehman Bros., Lennar Partners, First Chicago, Ernst & Young, Duff & Phelps and others. Services provided typically involved a field evaluation of particular commercial real estate asset or groups of assets, and a comprehensive underwriting summary/valuation of same.
