Functional system and integration testing of contract, trading and billing systems used in provision of quality services to the end Customers. These systems comprise both internally developed systems, as well as a number of mainstream and bespoke systems from third party suppliers. The latest of these projects has been part of a small scrum team, focused on the development of a bespoke Smart Metering system, integrating through to a major third party system in real time.Working initially in a waterfall methodology, my role has enabled me to add test specific input as the various projects migrated to an agile (scrum) methodology.I introduced test automation to the company and implemented an automation framework to test legacy systems, as well as the latest Smart Metering infrastructure. The automation tools have spanned from off-the-shelf tools (Silk, SoapUI), through to open-source tools (WatiN, marathon, Selenium Webdriver, Postman). Primarily these frameworks have been Microsoft based, VS (C#) through to VSTS / TFS, MTM and AWS.I’m comfortable working with the more technical aspects of testing roles, whether this be large data (ETL, cube), integration in multi-system environments (using API / Soap / JSON / Swagger) or cloud based (AWS EC2, S3, etc.).
