I was a principal consultant at Solidsoft Reply, involved in a variety of activities ranging from pre-sales consulting, workshops, architectural and technical design, seminars and presentations, proof of concept work and the full development cycle. Much of my time was spent shaping and overseeing software development projects for our customers.

As part of a long-standing commitment to rules-based processing and machine-based reasoning, I managed the presentation agenda for a major international technical conference on rule development and applied AI.

I worked a an Microsoft Certified IT trainer delivering training in programming languages, tools and technologies. In addition I worked with the consulting services team, helping customers to understand and make decisions about how to apply technology within their businesses.

I worked as a self-employed software developer and technical trainer, undertaking work for a variety of customers

I worked as a Commercial Officer for BT West End District as part of a dynamic logistics (materials management) team implementing BS 5750 (the forerunner of the ISO 9001 quality management standard). I was responsible for the rapid implementation of database and spreadsheet-based systems using IBM and IBM-compatible personal computers. I worked principally with SmartWare and Borland Paradox.

I undertook a variety of short-term engagements developing software solutions for companies including Arthur Andersen and British Telecom.
