I am Chair of Giordano's Energy, Climate Change and Public Utiltiies Practice Group. For the past 20 years, I have represented a broad array of energy companies before the NJ Board of Public Utilities, for which I previously served a seven year tenure as Special Counsel. I have been actively involved in all significant proceedings convened by the Board, including the restructuring of the electric and gas industries, utility rate and merger cases, and a broad spectrum of regulatory proceedings. I have also represented clients before the NJ Legislature and have crafted energy-related legislation, including recent energy infrastructure public-private partnership, cogeneration, district energy, and energy efficiency bills that have been enacted into law. I was Chair of the Christie Administration's Energy Master Plan Task Force on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and also assisted the Whitman and Corzine Administrations in the development of their Energy Master Plans, which led to the restructuring of the electric and natural gas industries and the introduction of the State's renewable energy programs.Concentration: I practice Energy and Public Utility Law with an emphasis on regulatory and transactional matters. I am also a registered lobbyist. I represent large energy users, independent power producers, developers of distributed energy projects, renewable energy companies, energy service companies, marketers, demand response providers, and end-use customers who develop energy resiliency projects, among others. I serve as legal counsel and lobbyist for the New Jersey Large Energy Users Coalition and the New Jersey Distributed Generation Coalition.
