I accepted the position of Sr. Operations Technician due to the very long commute to theprevious position I held with Target Corporation in Elk River MN. I had been working witheach of the three shifts to gain a better understanding of the challenges each technicianexperiences. My goal was to increase the level of communication between the staff anddevelop a team work ethic. There was considerable room for process improvement.I had settled into working with a new technician who just graduated from trade school, tomentor him on the protocol and operation complexities of Data Center operation. I waseager to share my experience with him in critical environment conditions and correctescalation and response measures as to not put the data center at risk. In August Ivoluntarily quit the position to take time to look for a new challenge that did notinclude 3rd shift coverage.

Coordinated periodic preventive maintenance schedules. Trained in new employees how tomaintain high technology equipment in support of Data Center equipment &clean roomenvironment. Worked with high technology equipment vendors to ensure proper and safeinstallation of new equipment. Start up and commissioning of a new 161,000 square foot data center in Elk RiverMinnesota.Implemented the remediation of the contamination issues concerning a combined 850,000gallons of closed loop Chilled water capacity at two data center locations.Implemented a Green initiative to change the water chemistries from Molyibdate to aSilicate program for the passivation of the metallurgy in 850,000 gallon distribution ofclosed loop water. Worked with 2 municipalities to exercise this improvement.Experience with Thermal Energy Storage tanks ( 2 - 400,000 gallon tanks )Worked with Management on annual budget cost saving and equipment life cycle. Buildinginfrastructure equipment enhancement with ROI of less than 5 years.Emergency procedure review and execution for DCO commissioning with internal engineeringdepartmentImplemented the creation & use of task instructions for each piece of HVAC equipment tobe PM'ed to ensure procedure consistency and commonality of mechanical staff responsibilitiesHeld the position of Project Manager on several key equipment upgrades to an olderexisting data center, equipment life cycling and energy efficiency improvements.Implemented on site chlorine dioxide generation for biological control within closed loopapplications, by doing so cost saving of 150,000.00 per year was realized.Currently in charge of maintenance coordination of 17 Megawatts of generator capacityCurrently in charge of maintenance coordination of 4050 tons of cooling capacity

Timely Centrifugal Chiller testing and documentation. Units ranged in size from 150 to1250 tons.Coordinated upgrades of multiple 400 ton, Cooling Towers as well as repair andmaintenance.Implemented Make-Up-Air maintenance of units ranging between 7,000 CFM to 97,000 CFM.Provided Hot Water Boiler maintenance and operation of units from 1 million to 1.7million BTU. 32 million total hot water boiler BTU capacity at this facility.Provided Steam Boiler maintenance and operation of 2 million to 8 million BTU - 26million total.Installation and testing of automated water treatment equipment, acid fume scrubbers,process chilled water systems, cooling tower sumps and steam boilers.Assisted with installation of back-up power generators for the facility to mitigate poweroutages.Scheduled Clean Dry Air Control maintenance of units that were from 195 CFM to 660 CFM.Experience in building automation including Johnson Control systems in support of a class1 clean room with room classes of 1000, to 10,000 micron.Timely Fire Suppression testing and inspections in accordance with fire insurancerequirements.Scheduled Vacuum System repairs on units ranging from 550 CFM to 2,500 CFM (SulairSystems)Developed a tool crib and parts department sign out program and parts inventory orderingprocess.Utilized Project Management techniques for manufacturing area time line compliancescheduling.Contributed many ideas, recommendations and process improvements & procedures involvingthe preventative maintenance and operation of the complex equipment that are still ineffect and continue to be followed by other facilities technicians daily.

Frame to Finish Carpentry. Carpentry work related to a $200,000 gymnasium construction project. Supported a largescale prefab construction project utilizing cranes to assemble piece work constructionmethods for quick erection of wall and roof trusses. Deadlines and owner expectationswere met regardless of weather conditions.Some projects were: High School hardwood floor installation, restroom and shower tile andplumbing work, equipment room construction, concession stand construction

Two large restaurant remodeling projects "Bona" - University of Minnesota" and "Santorine" - St Louis Park Minnesota. The project foreman was responsible for over 10other construction workers to meet the daily scope of work. Worked with designengineering firms to assure a quality, safe and structurally sound project to meet theproject completion timelines. Worked closely with the inspections departments and fieldtechnicians so that all aspects of the project met their rigid specifications. Workedclosely with the restaurant management to successfully promote the public grand openingsfor the newly renovated properties. Some projects were: restaurant kitchen, bar anddining area construction, seating capacity was for over 200 patrons, parking lotrenovations, signage and advertising installations.

Frame to finish remodeling. Work included all facets of electrical, plumbing, carpentryas well as subcontractor scheduling and co-ordination. Cost estimating, hiring ofqualified construction personnel and working with designs and permitting offices were alsopart of the job responsibilities. Some projects were: electrical installations andrepair, plumbing installations and repair, heating, air conditioning and ventilationinstallations and repair, wood, tile and concrete flooring installations and repair,sheetrock installations and repair, general painting and staining.

Extensive knowledge of the printing industry. Some facets of the job were: enjoyedoutside sales calls and customer interaction, facilitated customer service inquiries,coordinated shipping and receiving scheduling, bindery operator, press operator, platemaker, typesetting and design.
