I am a BTL (not the sandwich) with IBM. As a Business Technology Leader, I am responsible for scoping out potential opportunities to highlight how our technology can help solve problems for clients. We get to ideate and co-create in a cost-free environment for our clients. This involves my team of technology engineers, data scientists, solution architects, and business leaders creating new solutions to old headaches using AI, Cloud Paks, and so many other tools. I served 11+ years in the United States Air Force across the globe. It taught me leadership in strenuous situations from day one upon arriving in Japan and continued through my time in Florida, Ohio, Utah, and New York. Throughout my time I sought to innovate and bring my sections and teams in the Air Force to think differently and critically. I learned to lead teams cross-functionally and cross-culturally with many of my teammates being local nationals. There were operations with different nations, branches of service, and across the government/civilian sectors as well. I innovated new processes to focus on our customers’ needs and wants while still excelling at the mission. I believe that asking the right questions drives to better results and processes instead of relying only a stagnant status quo. I led innovation projects across the pacific driving technological usage to eliminate antiquated process, then developed a training program to keep it sustainable. I came to a new squadron at a base ramping up for a completely new platform, the F22, and developed a repeatable/consolidated/improved deployment process across multiple organizations. From that I was chosen to lead the exercise and training to sustain the entire organization's effectiveness. I was sent to grow further through a Graduate degree program at AFIT where I studied the modernization and innovation efforts of Defense Logistics Agency's distribution processes. After that I went and used my new skills to overhaul processes, maintenance, and repair at a depot with 500+ union employees under me.
