Lead BA working on the analysis of company-wide Workplace Pensions guided investment strategies, leading to the delivery of a multiple bulk switch and customer communication exercise. Also completing and implementing the delivery of a new end-to-end framework for the governance and risk oversight of these guided investment strategies.

Working on a number of fund collectivisations I delivered the largest known in specie transfers in the UK market. These complex transitions included the onboarding of a Transition Manager, 4 other investment managers and their TA’s, 5 internal investors and an outsourced service provider including their associated TA, Trustee, Fund Accounting, Custodian and Pricing teams. The work involved an impact analysis of the funds involved, launching the required transition funds and asset funds, the planning and documenting of the runbooks for the transitions, managing the runbook calls, completing all the governance sign offs and writing the requirements for the development of the new operating model which supported the end state multi manager fund. The first of these transfers were implemented to an extremely tight deadline with only around 4 weeks to onboard the Transition Manager and ensure they were capable of trading on day 1.

I worked on multiple projects during this period using my Senior BA, Lead BA and Project Management skills on projects which included; a platform migration project for a new book of business, a project which was restructuring regulated funds for the ACD as it changed strategy, a fund rationalisation project, and a regulatory project ensuring that the discontinuance of LIBOR was implemented across the Workplace Savings book of business.

Study piece of work with the objective to optimise the approach to holding and managing assets supporting Royal London’s investment propositions and the Royal London Estate so that it has a cost effective operating model supporting efficient investment and regulatory oversight for both customers and members. The output was a proposal with supporting documentation proposing a future model where simplification, reduction of operational risk and customer outcomes are foremost.

Part of the Global Transfer Agency PMO team I helped to deliver a savings product in the European market and a global e-Delivery system for delivering customer documentation. I also project managed the in-specie transfer for the on-boarding of a new client's funds and reviewed and made recommendations for some Continuous Improvement opportunities within the team.

I helped to deliver a funds restructure programme of work that included in-specie transfers, fund mergers, fund launches and share-class conversions. My role was one of a senior Business Analyst but also included project managing a couple of the work streams. This programme of work included working with multiple internal teams (including Finance, Client Services, Investment Strategy & Execution, Legal, Tax, Investment Accounting & Operations, Compliance and Risk), as well as with external operational parties (Asset Managers, Custodians and Trustees & Depositary), and external Tax and Legal advisors.

I was involved in a number of projects in the Insurance Finance Division which were initiated following the merger of Lloyds TSB and Halifax/ Bank of Scotland. The remit of the projects included setting up Target Operating Models (TOMs) for existing Finance teams, TOMs for new investment and governance teams, committee and reporting structure review and overhaul, fund mandate quality review and automated production process and the analysis of the [then] existing Middle and Back Office functions with a view to restructuring and outsourcing some of the functionality.

I was involved in a number of projects with the Business Change/Transformation team working with Proposition in delivering new products, and carried out an extensive review and analysis of the fund range which led to multiple synchronous fund launches and transition management planning for closing multiple funds.

Working as part of a team within the Client Services area we delivered an exceptional improvement in the efficiency for on-boarding new Bancassurance customers and providing them with Protection insurance. Following this I worked in isolation on a Financial Crime risk review assessment, reviewing processes and procedures and making process improvement suggestions to help prevent Financial Crime.
