About Steven Moody

I am currently stationed in Fort Belvoir, VA, where I am in my first assignment as an Acquisitions Officer. I am assigned to PEO Soldier as an Assistant Program Manager within the Nett Warrior program.Born and raised in Southern California, I moved to New York for college and have not looked back since. My duty assignments and deployments have taken me all over the United States and the world- experiences that I will forever be grateful for. My two primary assignments have been at Fort Hood, TX, where I served as an infantry platoon leader, and Fort Campbell, KY, where I served as a rifle company commander for 17 months, five of which were spent deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq. This deployment was an amazing experience for me, as I was responsible for leading a large team consisting of Soldiers from multiple units, backgrounds, and operational capabilities. In addition to this I also had to build close relationships with my Iraqi counterparts to ensure mutual security of our base. In May of 2021, I received my MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business, where I concentrated in Supply Chain Management. Leading Soldiers has been the greatest privilege of my life, and I look forward to continuing working with Soldiers in my new role as an Acquisitions Corps officer.
