About Steven Suntres

A screenwriter/producer based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Steven draws from his 15 years of experience as a freelance writer, his MA in Creative Writing, and his PhD candidacy in Digital Cultures. He prides himself on being able to executive the high-level creative development of scripted projects–both independently and collaboratively–with a specialization in comedy writing.In 2024, Steven started his own production company, Paratactic Pictures, and he is currently developing and producing his inaugural slate of scripted projects. Most notably, Steven is the Co-Creator/Writer/Showrunner of CAR WASH WARS, a comedy series set to air on Bell Fibe TV1 in early 2025. CAR WASH WARS. Paratactic Pictures’ second comedy project, DISCOUNT WRESTLING, is currently in development, receiving funding from both the New Brunswick government and CMF’s Predevelopment Fund. Also worth noting, Steven is a Writer and Associate Producer for O’Don’s, a workplace comedy series set in Miramichi, New Brunswick which aired on Bell Fibe TV1 in January 2024, and was nominated for Best Ensemble Cast in a TV Series by ACTRA Maritimes.
